MAIL’s Kenyan advisor abducted in Kabul

KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): Unknown gunmen on Sunday kidnapped a foreign advisor to the Ministry of Agricultureinfo-icon, Irrigation and Livestock (MAIL), a security official said.

The well-placed security source, who wished anonymity, told Pajhwok Afghan News the Kenyan national was kidnapped at around 7:40am after he left home in Kart-i-Char neighborhood of Kabul for office.

He said the kidnappers were in a black Chevrolet model pick-up the number plate of which belonged to the Wolesi Jirgainfo-icon. He said the Kenyan performed duty as financial advisor at the MAIL.

He said so far the kidnappers hadn’t been identified and their motive was also not known; but investigations into the incident were underway.
